Wellness
We will share practical and tangible tools to encourage you on your wellness journey. From mindful movement and nourishment to Christian living approaches, books, articles and more. When I think of wellness, I imagine the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual facets, giving way to how we show up in the world.
How do you take care of your body, or understand and manage your feelings? Do you maintain healthy relationships with family and friends? And how do you develop a sense of purpose and hope?
Here we create our own toolkit from helpful resources and develop strategies to show up in the world as our authentic self.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is about focusing on the magic of the present moment, rather than worrying about the past or the future. The purpose is to experience life as it unfolds moment by moment. This practice encourages us to pause and embrace the present, accepting it with curiosity and gratitude. When we embrace mindfulness, we seek to experience our life from the 5 senses – see, hear, taste, smell, and touch. Taking small but meaningful steps every day, can bring you into a place of intention and contentment.
Mindfulness is not something you achieve overnight; it is a habit developed gradually over time. For example, if you take a walk, stay present and use your 5 senses. What do you see – a cardinal or a bluejay? What do you hear – leaves crunching under your feet? What do you smell – someone’s fireplace burning hickory or oak? Get the picture? Whatever you decide to do, choose to give your attention to it and see how you feel afterwards. The more you practice with intention, the more it becomes a part of your life.
Self- Care
When life is busy and you're being pulled in different directions, you may put yourself last on the to-do list. I want to encourage you in your journey of healing, to nurture your body, mind, soul, and spirit. This may look like learning how to navigate stress, being kinder to yourself, moving your body, or praying and meditating. As life gets cluttered, developing strategies around work/life balance, setting boundaries, proper nutrition, and knowing how to ask for help are ways to unclutter our every day.
We always hear self-care is not selfish or a distraction, although sometimes we feel like it is. But I’m here to encourage you to embrace this concept as part of your overall wellness. Just remember, it’s not just one thing, but multiple things over time that can help you achieve the well-being you are seeking.
